FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • A Naturopath is a holistic health practitioner who uses multiple healing modalities to support the optimal functioning of your body. Rather than just treating symptoms, I work to uncover and address the root causes of imbalance, supporting your body's innate ability to heal itself.

The modalities I use in my practice include:

    • Clinical nutrition and therapeutic dietary support

    • Herbal medicine - custom liquid tinctures and herbal tablets tailored specifically to your needs

    • Nutritional supplementation - practitioner-grade, bioavailable formulas

    • Lifestyle medicine - stress management, sleep optimization, and nervous system regulation

    • Functional testing - comprehensive pathology and specialized testing to understand what's happening beneath the surface

    • Flower essences for emotional wellbeing

    • Essential oils for therapeutic support

My approach integrates scientific research with time-honored natural therapies, always considering your whole person - mind, body, and spirit. Whether you're navigating hormonal imbalances, digestive concerns, chronic fatigue, or simply seeking to optimize your health, naturopathy offers a personalized pathway to true wellness.

It's important to note that 'Naturopath' is not a protected term in Australia or New Zealand, so choosing a professionally accredited practitioner (like those registered with the NHAA) ensures you're receiving evidence-based, safe, and up-to-date care.

  • No, I work exclusively online, which allows me to support clients anywhere without the limitations of a physical clinic location.

All consultations are conducted via secure video calls, giving you the convenience of receiving professional naturopathic care from the comfort of your own home. This eliminates travel time, makes scheduling easier, and allows me to work with clients in regional and remote areas who might not have access to experienced naturopaths locally.

Online consultations are just as thorough and effective as in-person appointments - I can review your health history, discuss your concerns in detail, assess your needs, and create comprehensive treatment plans all through video consultation.

If you prefer the personal connection of face-to-face care but appreciate the convenience of online work, you'll find that video consultations offer the best of both worlds.

  • Working online allows me to provide high-quality naturopathic care to clients across Australia and New Zealand, regardless of their location.

This model offers several benefits: you can access experienced naturopathic care without travel time or geographic limitations, appointments are more flexible and convenient, I can support clients in regional and remote areas, and you receive the same thorough, personalized care as a traditional clinic setting.

Online practice also allows me to specialize and develop deeper expertise in specific areas, as I'm not limited to the clients within a local area. Many of my clients appreciate the convenience and comfort of consulting from home, especially when managing fatigue, chronic illness, or busy schedules.

The quality of care remains exactly the same - comprehensive consultations, personalised treatment plans, ongoing support, and professional practitioner-grade supplements and herbal medicine delivered to your door.

  • It's simple! All practitioner-grade supplements and custom herbal medicines are delivered directly to your door.

After your consultation, I'll create your personalized treatment plan and place orders for your supplements and herbs through my professional dispensary partners. They'll ship your products directly to your address, usually arriving within 3-5 business days.

You'll receive everything you need including practitioner-only formulations not available in stores, custom herbal liquid extracts or tablets made specifically for you, clear instructions for taking each product, and follow-up support if you have any questions.

I work with trusted, high-quality Australian dispensaries that specialize in practitioner products, ensuring you receive the same professional-grade supplements I would dispense from a physical clinic. This model also ensures I have more time to research your unique case more in-depth and also stay on top of the latest research in the biomedicine space.

  • Wonderful question! And this one is a little tricky to answer as each Medicinal Herb has its own aroma, flavour profile and healing action that it imparts on the body and there are hundred of herbal options that I use in your personalised tinctures.
For the most part herbs are bitter, some are pungent and others are herbaceous. I usually suggest having your daily herb shot, and then chasing it with a little water. There is also the option to add Licorice, Ginger or Herbal Glycetracts (sweet tinctures) if you are concerned about flavour. After all, I would rather help you find a way to make it taste nice so you take your herbs and then get the healing benefit from them than you struggling and me not knowing about it. There is the option for Herbal Tablets in some cases, however there is less flexibility with these as they are pre-formulated.

  • Functional testing is easy to arrange online. I work with accredited pathology laboratories across Australia and New Zealand that offer convenient testing options.

Depending on what testing is needed, you have several options: standard blood tests through your local pathology clinic (I provide the referral form), at-home collection kits sent directly to you for specialized functional testing (like comprehensive stool analysis, hormone panels, or food sensitivity testing), or local collection services that come to your home.

For any testing that requires blood collection, you simply take my referral to your nearest pathology clinic. For at-home test kits, detailed instructions are included, and the labs provide support if needed. All results are sent directly to me, and we review them together in your follow-up consultation.

Testing is never required to work with me, but when appropriate, it can provide valuable insights to guide your treatment plan.

  • The Wellness Portal is your secure online client platform where you can access all your health information, treatment plans, and resources in one convenient place.

Once you become a client, you'll automatically receive login details for your personal portal. Through the portal, you can view your detailed treatment plans and supplement protocols, access educational resources and handouts, review consultation notes, manage appointments and bookings, communicate securely with me between appointments, and access invoices and payment history.

The portal ensures your health information is secure, organized, and accessible whenever you need it. It's designed to make your naturopathic journey smooth and streamlined, with everything you need at your fingertips.

You'll receive a welcome email with your portal login details after your first consultation is booked.

  • Yes, absolutely! I offer convenient online payment options to make the process as easy as possible.

You can pay via secure bank transfer/EFT, credit or debit card through the payment link sent with your invoice, or directly through the Wellness Portal. Invoices are sent electronically after each consultation or when your supplements are ordered.

All payments are processed securely, and you'll receive a receipt immediately. If you have private health insurance with extras cover for naturopathy, I provide detailed receipts that you can submit to your health fund for potential rebates.

Payment plans for select programs are available and listed in the payment pages where applicable.

  • Yes, while I work with a broad range of health concerns, I specialize in hormonal health, women's health, and complex chronic conditions.

I'm particularly passionate about supporting women through hormonal transitions and imbalances including PCOS, endometriosis, thyroid conditions (including Hashimoto's), perimenopause and menopause, fertility and preconception care, and menstrual cycle irregularities.

I also have extensive experience with chronic fatigue and post-viral recovery, autoimmune conditions, mental health support (anxiety, depression, stress), digestive health and gut-brain connection, and metabolic health and weight management.

My approach integrates clinical nutrition, herbal medicine, lifestyle medicine, and evidence-based natural therapies. I focus on treating the whole person, not just isolated symptoms, and I'm committed to finding the root causes rather than just managing symptoms.

If you're unsure whether your condition falls within my scope of practice, feel free to reach out and ask. I'm always happy to have a brief chat to determine if we're a good fit.

  • Absolutely! Emotional and mental health are integral to your overall wellbeing, and I address them in every treatment plan.

Your physical and emotional health are deeply interconnected through the gut-brain axis, hormonal pathways (like cortisol and thyroid hormones), neurotransmitter production (serotonin, dopamine, GABA), the nervous system, and inflammatory processes.

    How I support emotional health:

Every protocol includes nervous system support through herbs, nutrients, and lifestyle practices. I address stress, sleep, and emotional regulation as core components of treatment. I consider how gut health affects mood (your gut produces most of your serotonin), support hormonal balance that impacts emotional wellbeing, and provide nutritional strategies to optimize brain chemistry.

I also recognize when additional support is needed and can refer you to psychologists, counsellors, or other mental health professionals when appropriate. I work collaboratively with your mental health team if you're already receiving support.

Your emotional wellbeing matters just as much as your physical symptoms, and my approach honours this connection throughout your treatment journey.

  • Constant illness or feeling run down signals that your immune system needs support, and naturopathy can help identify why you're struggling and strengthen your body's natural defenses.

Frequent infections or persistent fatigue often indicate underlying issues like nutrient deficiencies (vitamin D, zinc, vitamin C, iron), chronic stress depleting your immune reserves, poor gut health (70% of your immune system lives in your gut), inadequate sleep, or blood sugar imbalances affecting energy.

    How I can support you:

Your personalized treatment plan may include immune-supporting herbs and nutrients to strengthen your defenses, gut health restoration to optimize immune function, stress management and adrenal support, nutritional strategies to stabilize energy and blood sugar, and sleep optimization for immune recovery.

Many clients notice fewer infections, improved energy, and better resilience within 6-8 weeks of consistent naturopathic support. We'll also investigate whether further testing is needed to rule out underlying conditions.

You don't have to accept feeling run down as normal. Book a consultation and let's work together to strengthen your immune system and energy levels.

  • Absolutely. Post-viral fatigue and lingering symptoms are increasingly common, and naturopathy can provide comprehensive support to help your body fully recover.

After viral infections (like COVID-19, glandular fever, or influenza), some people experience ongoing fatigue, brain fog, exercise intolerance, or immune dysregulation. This often indicates that your immune system, mitochondria (energy production), and inflammatory response need support to complete the healing process.

    How I can support you:

Your treatment plan may include immune-modulating herbs to help regulate your immune response, mitochondrial support for cellular energy production, anti-inflammatory nutrition and supplementation, gentle detoxification support, and nutritional replenishment of virus-depleted nutrients.

Recovery timelines vary depending on the severity of your initial infection, but many clients notice gradual improvements in energy, mental clarity, and exercise tolerance within 6-12 weeks. I take a paced approach, supporting your body without overwhelming it.

Post-viral recovery is possible with the right support. Book a consultation and let's create a plan to help you feel like yourself again.

  • Yes, naturopathy can support you with evidence-based preventative strategies to optimize your health and reduce modifiable risk factors associated with cancer.

While family history increases risk, lifestyle, nutrition, inflammation levels, immune function, and environmental exposures also play significant roles. I focus on empowering you with practical strategies to support your body's natural defense mechanisms.

    How I can support you:

Your personalized plan may include anti-inflammatory, antioxidant-rich nutrition strategies, immune-supporting herbs and nutrients, gut health optimization (gut health is linked to cancer prevention), stress management to regulate immune function, and lifestyle modifications to reduce exposure to environmental toxins.

I also provide support if you're undergoing genetic testing, screening, or if you've been diagnosed and need complementary care alongside conventional treatment. Naturopathy can help manage treatment side effects and support recovery.

Taking proactive steps for your health is empowering. Book a consultation and let's work together on a prevention-focused plan tailored to your family history and health goals.

  • Yes, I work with a wide range of skin conditions including eczema, psoriasis, acne, rosacea, dermatitis, and other inflammatory skin issues using a whole-body approach.

Skin conditions almost always reflect what's happening internally - whether it's gut health, inflammation, immune function, hormones, stress, or nutrient status. Rather than just treating symptoms topically, I investigate and address the underlying causes.
I work collaboratively with your dermatologist if you're receiving medical treatment.

Healthy, comfortable skin is achievable. Book a consultation and let's work together to address your skin concerns from the root.

  • Eczema can be frustrating and uncomfortable, but naturopathy offers effective support by addressing the root causes rather than just managing symptoms on the surface.

Eczema often signals underlying issues including gut health imbalances, food sensitivities or allergies, immune system dysregulation, inflammation, nutrient deficiencies, or stress affecting your skin barrier. I work to identify your unique triggers and support your body from the inside out.

    How I can support you:

Your personalized treatment plan may include gut health restoration to reduce inflammatory triggers, identification and management of food sensitivities, anti-inflammatory herbs and nutrients, immune-modulating support, and topical herbal recommendations to soothe and repair your skin barrier.

Many clients notice reduced flare-ups, improved skin healing, and better management of symptoms within 6-12 weeks. The goal is long-term skin health and reduced reliance on steroid creams.

Clear, comfortable skin is possible. Book a consultation and let's work together to address the root causes of your eczema.

  • Acne isn't just a skin problem - it's often a signal that something deeper needs attention, and naturopathy can help address the underlying hormonal, digestive, or inflammatory causes.

Adult acne usually indicates hormonal imbalances (excess androgens or estrogen), gut health issues affecting hormone clearance, inflammation, blood sugar dysregulation, stress, or nutrient deficiencies. I work to identify what's driving your breakouts rather than just treating the surface.

    How I can support you:

Your treatment plan may include hormonal balancing through diet and herbal medicine, gut health optimization to improve hormone metabolism, anti-inflammatory nutrition and supplementation, blood sugar stabilizing strategies, and targeted nutrients like zinc and vitamin A for skin health.

Many clients notice clearer skin, reduced inflammation, and fewer breakouts within 6-12 weeks as we address the root causes. The aim is clear, healthy skin without harsh medications or ongoing topical treatments.

You deserve clear, confident skin. Book a consultation and let's create a personalized plan to address your acne from the inside out.

  • Painful periods are incredibly common, but they're not something you need to just "put up with." Naturopathy can be highly effective in reducing period pain and addressing the underlying causes.

Period pain often signals hormonal imbalances, inflammation, nutrient deficiencies, or conditions like endometriosis or PCOS. Through a thorough assessment, I'll investigate what's driving your symptoms - this might include excess estrogen, prostaglandin imbalances, magnesium deficiency, or digestive issues affecting hormone clearance.

    How I can support you:

Your personalized treatment plan may include anti-inflammatory herbs and nutrients to reduce cramping, hormonal balancing support through diet and supplementation, gut health optimization to improve hormone metabolism, and nutritional strategies to address deficiencies contributing to pain.

Many clients experience significant relief within 1-3 cycles as we work to rebalance your hormones naturally. The aim is not just pain relief, but also improved energy, mood, and overall cycle health.

You deserve pain-free periods. Book a consultation so we can create a treatment plan tailored to your needs and get you feeling better, naturally.

  • Missing periods (amenorrhea) are your body's way of signaling that something needs attention, and naturopathy can be very effective in helping restore your natural cycle.

There are many reasons periods might stop - stress and nervous system dysregulation, undereating or overexercising, hormonal imbalances like PCOS or thyroid issues, coming off hormonal contraception, or significant weight changes. Through a comprehensive consultation, I'll work to identify what's causing your cycle disruption.

    How I can support you:

Your personalized treatment plan may include nutritional support to nourish your endocrine system, herbal medicine to encourage hormonal balance and cycle restoration, stress management and nervous system regulation techniques, and lifestyle adjustments to support your body's natural rhythm.

Depending on the underlying cause, many clients see their cycles return within 3-6 months as we address the root imbalances. It's important to note that if your periods have been missing for more than three months, I recommend also working with your GP to rule out any underlying medical conditions.

Your body wants to cycle naturally. Book a consultation and let's work together to understand what's happening and support your hormonal health.

  • PCOS can feel overwhelming, but the good news is that naturopathy offers powerful tools to help manage symptoms and improve both hormonal and metabolic health naturally.

PCOS often involves insulin resistance, inflammation, hormonal imbalances, and gut health issues. Rather than just managing symptoms, I focus on addressing these underlying drivers to help restore balance to your body.

    How I can support you:

Your personalized treatment plan may include dietary strategies to improve insulin sensitivity and balance blood sugar, targeted supplements like inositol, chromium, and omega-3s to support metabolic health, herbal medicine to regulate cycles and reduce androgen levels, and lifestyle modifications to reduce inflammation and support hormone clearance.

Many clients notice improvements in cycle regularity, reduced symptoms (like acne or excess hair growth), better energy levels, and easier weight management within 3-6 months of consistent naturopathic support.

PCOS is highly responsive to natural interventions, especially when we address the root causes. Book a consultation so we can create a tailored plan to help you feel more balanced, energized, and in control of your health.

  • Yes I can! Preconception is a wonderful time to work with a Naturopath to support your optimal health and wellbeing. Growing a baby is a huge task for the Human body and we want to give your body extra nourishment before you get pregnant so that you have the nutrients you need to grow a healthy baby and not deplete yourself in the process. Most off the shelf preconception multivitamins have low doses of key nutrients and they often contain non-bioavailable forms which can impact absorption and utilisation especially if you have any genetic variations like MTHFR.

I do 1:1 or Couples Fertility Consultations depending on where you are at with your journey and the health of your significant other.

I always suggest both parties work with me for preconception care for 3-6 months before conception - this gives you the best groundwork for health bodies and healthy cells, to grow a healthy baby and depending on your hormones and other body systems e.g. digestive or detoxification we may need to work on those as well prior to conception. Remember male partners gives 50% of the genetic coding for your future baby so it is pertinent that your partner is involved with preconception planning and wellness practices.

  • I'm so sorry for your loss. Miscarriage is both physically and emotionally challenging, and naturopathy can provide gentle, compassionate support as you heal and prepare for a healthy future pregnancy.

After miscarriage, your body needs time and support to restore hormonal balance, replenish nutrients, process grief, and optimize conditions for conception. I take a holistic approach that honors both your physical and emotional healing.

    How I can support you:

Your treatment plan may include nutritional replenishment to restore depleted nutrients like folate, iron, and B vitamins, herbal medicine to support uterine healing and hormonal balance, gentle detoxification support, emotional support and nervous system care during the grieving process, and preconception care when you're ready to try again.

I recommend waiting at least one full cycle before trying to conceive again, giving your body time to heal. Many clients feel physically and emotionally ready within 3-6 months with proper support.

Healing takes time, and you deserve compassionate care. Book a consultation when you're ready, and we'll work together at your pace.

  • Thyroid imbalances affect everything from your energy and weight to your mood and metabolism, and naturopathy can provide comprehensive support to help restore optimal thyroid function.

Whether you're dealing with hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, or subclinical thyroid issues, I'll work to identify the underlying causes - this might include nutrient deficiencies (iodine, selenium, zinc), stress affecting thyroid hormone conversion, gut health issues, or autoimmune factors.

    How I can support you:

Your treatment plan may include targeted nutritional support to optimize thyroid hormone production and conversion, herbal medicine to support thyroid function and reduce inflammation, dietary modifications to support thyroid health and reduce triggers, and stress management techniques to regulate your HPA axis.

Many clients notice improvements in energy, weight stability, and overall wellbeing within 6-12 weeks. I work collaboratively with your GP or endocrinologist to ensure you're receiving comprehensive care, and can help interpret your thyroid function tests to guide treatment.

Let's work together to support your thyroid and help you feel like yourself again. Book a consultation to get started.

  • Absolutely. Hashimoto's thyroiditis is an autoimmune condition affecting the thyroid, and naturopathy can be incredibly supportive in managing symptoms and slowing disease progression.

With Hashimoto's, your immune system is attacking your thyroid gland, often triggered by factors like gut dysfunction, nutrient deficiencies, chronic stress, environmental toxins, or food sensitivities. I focus on calming the autoimmune response while supporting optimal thyroid function.

    How I can support you:

Your personalized treatment plan may include anti-inflammatory nutrition and immune-modulating herbs, gut health restoration to reduce immune triggers, nutritional support including selenium, vitamin D, and zinc for thyroid health, stress management to regulate immune function, and identification and removal of potential triggers.

Many clients experience reduced antibody levels, improved energy, better weight management, and fewer flare-ups within 3-6 months of consistent naturopathic care. I work alongside your medical team to ensure you receive comprehensive support.

You don't have to manage Hashimoto's alone. Book a consultation and let's create a plan to support your immune system and thyroid health.

  • The frequency of consultations depends on your individual needs and health goals, but I generally recommend a structured approach to achieve the best results.

Initially, we'll have an comprehensive first consultation (60-90 minutes) to thoroughly assess your health and a follow up about 2 weeks later. Further follow-up appointments are then typically scheduled every 4-6 weeks, allowing time for treatment protocols to take effect and for us to monitor progress and adjust your plan as needed.

As your health improves and stabilizes, we'll space appointments further apart - perhaps every 8 weeks for ongoing support and maintenance. Some clients eventually transition to check-ins every 3-6 months once they're feeling great and just want to maintain optimal health.

You're always welcome to reach out between appointments if concerns arise, and I'm available via the Wellness Portal for quick questions. The goal is to support you toward independent health, not create ongoing dependency.

  • This depends on your individual condition, how long you've been experiencing symptoms, and how consistently you follow your treatment plan, but here are some general guidelines.

For acute issues like digestive upset or minor infections, you may notice improvements within days to a couple of weeks. For hormonal imbalances, chronic fatigue, or skin conditions, most clients notice meaningful changes within 6-12 weeks as underlying imbalances begin to shift. For complex chronic conditions or autoimmune issues, significant improvements often occur within 3-6 months, with continued progress over time.

Naturopathic medicine works with your body's natural healing processes rather than suppressing symptoms, so changes tend to be gradual and sustainable. Some people notice immediate improvements in energy or sleep, while deeper healing takes longer.

I'll give you realistic expectations based on your specific situation during your consultation, and we'll monitor your progress regularly to ensure you're moving in the right direction.

  • Practitioner-grade supplements are significantly different from retail products in quality, potency, purity, and effectiveness.

    Key differences include:

Therapeutic doses: Practitioner supplements contain doses proven effective in clinical research, often much higher than retail products. For example, a practitioner magnesium might contain 300-400mg of elemental magnesium in bioavailable forms, while supermarket versions may contain only 50-100mg in poorly absorbed forms.

Quality and purity: Professional supplements undergo rigorous third-party testing for heavy metals, contaminants, and potency. They're manufactured to pharmaceutical standards (GMP certified).

Bioavailable forms: We use the most absorbable, active forms of nutrients. For example, practitioner B12 uses methylcobalamin (active form), while retail versions often use cheaper cyanocobalamin (inactive form your body must convert).

No fillers or additives: Professional supplements avoid unnecessary binders, fillers, artificial colors, and allergens that can compromise effectiveness or cause reactions.

Evidence-based formulations: Practitioner products are formulated based on clinical research and traditional medicine principles, not marketing trends.

Professional guidance: You receive personalized recommendations based on your specific needs, proper dosing, and monitoring for effectiveness.

While practitioner supplements cost more upfront, they're more effective, meaning you often need fewer products and see results faster.

  • In many cases, yes, and I'm happy to work collaboratively with your GP to ensure you receive comprehensive care.

For standard pathology tests (like iron studies, thyroid function, vitamin D, or general health markers), your GP can provide bulk-billed testing through Medicare (if you are Australian based). I can guide you on what tests to request, and you can share the results with me to incorporate into your treatment plan.

However, I also work with private functional testing laboratories for specialized tests that aren't available through standard pathology (like comprehensive hormone panels, gut microbiome analysis, food sensitivity testing, or detailed nutritional assessments). These tests are arranged directly through me and sent to your home.

Ideally, naturopathic care works best alongside your conventional medical care. I encourage open communication between all your healthcare providers to ensure you receive well-rounded, integrated support.

If you don't have a regular GP, I can provide recommendations for local doctors who are supportive of integrative care.

  • Yes, absolutely! I believe in collaborative, integrative healthcare and I'm happy to help you build a supportive practitioner team.

Depending on your needs, your team might include your GP for medical care and pathology testing, a psychologist or counselor for mental health support, a physiotherapist, osteopath, or chiropractor for physical health, a gynecologist or endocrinologist for specialist hormonal care, or other allied health professionals relevant to your situation.

I have a network of trusted practitioners across Australia and New Zealand who share an integrative approach to healthcare. I can provide recommendations based on your location and specific needs, and I'm always happy to communicate with your other practitioners (with your permission) to ensure coordinated care.

Great healthcare is about having the right team supporting you from different angles. Let me know what support you're looking for, and I'll help point you in the right direction.

  • Yes, I hold a Diploma in Nutrition and Naturopathy and a Degree in Biomedical Science. i formally studied for 6 years before becoming a Clinical Naturopath. I have been working 1:1 in clinic for 7 years now.

My education included extensive study of biochemistry and physiology, nutritional science and therapeutic diets, herbal medicine (pharmacology, actions, and interactions), pathology and disease processes, clinical assessment and diagnosis, evidence-based research methodology, and supervised clinical practice.

I'm registered with a professional naturopathic association and maintain continuing professional development to stay current with emerging research. I integrate scientific evidence with traditional medicine wisdom, always prioritizing your safety and wellbeing.

I also happily work with medical doctors, specialists, and allied health professionals to ensure you receive evidence-informed, comprehensive care. When I make recommendations, they're based on clinical research, traditional use, and my professional clinical experience.

You can trust that your care is grounded in both science and the art of natural medicine.

  • Yes, nutrition is fundamental to naturopathic care, and dietary guidance is included in every treatment plan - but I always tailor recommendations to your individual needs, preferences, and lifestyle.

I don't believe in one-size-fits-all diets or restrictive eating. Instead, I focus on nourishing, sustainable dietary changes that support your specific health goals. This might include anti-inflammatory foods for chronic conditions, blood sugar balancing strategies for metabolic health, gut-healing nutrition for digestive issues, hormone-supporting foods for endocrine conditions, or nutrient-dense eating for general wellbeing.

My approach is practical and realistic. I'll work with your current eating patterns, food preferences, cooking skills, budget, and lifestyle to create changes that are actually achievable and sustainable. Small, consistent changes often create the most lasting results.

I provide clear guidance, meal ideas, recipes, and ongoing support to help you implement dietary changes successfully. The goal is to help you feel empowered and nourished, not restricted or stressed about food.

  • No, I don't prescribe to any single dietary philosophy. Instead, I use an evidence-based, individualized approach that draws from various nutritional frameworks to create the best plan for your unique needs.

Different health conditions respond to different dietary approaches. For example, someone with PCOS might benefit from lower glycemic eating, someone with autoimmune conditions might need an anti-inflammatory approach, someone with IBS might require specific gut-healing protocols, and someone with fatigue might need metabolic support through specific nutrient timing.

I'm trained in wholefoods nutrition, therapeutic diets, plant-based nutrition, elimination diets, metabolic balance, and various evidence-based nutritional protocols. What matters most is finding what works for YOUR body, your health goals, your lifestyle, and your food relationship.

I respect all dietary choices and preferences, and I work to optimize your health within your chosen framework rather than imposing my own beliefs about how you should eat.

  • Absolutely! I have extensive experience working with vegan and vegetarian clients and I fully respect and support plant-based eating.

Whether you follow a plant-based diet for ethical, environmental, health, or personal reasons, I'll work within your dietary framework to optimize your nutrition and address any health concerns. Plant-based eating can be incredibly healthful when done well, and I'll help ensure you're meeting all your nutritional needs.

What I focus on with plant-based clients:

Ensuring adequate protein intake and amino acid balance, optimizing iron, B12, zinc, omega-3s, and other nutrients that require attention on plant-based diets, supporting digestive health to maximize nutrient absorption, providing plant-based supplement options where needed, and creating satisfying, nourishing meal plans that align with your values.

Many of my supplement and herbal medicine recommendations have vegan options available, and I always check with you before prescribing anything that doesn't align with your dietary choices.

Your dietary preferences will never be a barrier to receiving excellent naturopathic care. Book a consultation and let's optimize your health on your plant-based journey.

  • Absolutely. Constipation is uncomfortable and affects your overall health, and naturopathy can provide effective, gentle support to restore regular bowel function.

Constipation often signals underlying issues including inadequate fiber or hydration, sluggish thyroid function, magnesium deficiency, stress affecting your gut-brain axis, dysbiosis (imbalanced gut bacteria), or poor digestive motility. I work to identify and address your specific causes.

    How I can support you:

Your personalized treatment plan may include herbal medicine to support digestive motility and tone, dietary modifications to optimize fiber and hydration, magnesium and other nutrients to support bowel function, gut microbiome support, and stress management to regulate your gut-brain connection.

Many clients notice improved regularity and comfort within 2-4 weeks. The goal is sustainable, comfortable bowel movements without reliance on laxatives.

You don't have to live with constipation. Book a consultation and let's work together to restore your digestive health naturally.

  • Yes, I can provide valuable support for managing coeliac disease and optimizing your health on a gluten-free diet.

Living with coeliac disease involves more than just avoiding gluten. Many people struggle with nutrient deficiencies (especially iron, B12, folate, calcium, and zinc) due to intestinal damage, ongoing digestive symptoms, gut healing, or challenges with maintaining a strict gluten-free diet.

I work alongside your gastroenterologist and can help interpret your monitoring blood tests. Many clients notice improved energy, better digestion, and enhanced overall wellbeing within 8-12 weeks of targeted naturopathic support.

Thriving with coeliac disease is possible.
Book a consultation and let's optimize your health on your gluten-free journey.

  • Yes, I can help investigate the underlying causes of weight gain and create a sustainable, holistic plan that goes beyond calorie counting.

Unexplained weight gain often signals deeper issues including hormonal imbalances (thyroid, insulin resistance, cortisol dysregulation), metabolic dysfunction, chronic stress, poor sleep, nutrient deficiencies, or gut health issues. Quick-fix diets rarely work because they don't address these root causes.

    How I can support you:

Your personalized treatment plan may include thorough assessment of hormonal and metabolic health, blood sugar balancing strategies, stress and cortisol management, gut health optimization, sleep support, and sustainable, nourishing dietary guidance tailored to your needs.

I focus on metabolic health, not just the number on the scale. Many clients notice improved energy, better body composition, reduced inflammation, and sustainable weight management within 12-16 weeks. The goal is lasting health, not restrictive dieting.

You deserve to feel comfortable and healthy in your body. Book a consultation and let's work together to understand what's driving your weight gain and support your metabolic health.

  • Yes, I can provide guidance and support for fasting protocols when done safely and appropriately for your individual health needs.

Fasting can offer benefits including metabolic health improvement, cellular repair (autophagy), inflammation reduction, and mental clarity. However, it's not suitable for everyone and needs to be approached carefully, especially if you have hormonal imbalances, blood sugar issues, or a history of disordered eating.

I'll assess whether fasting is appropriate for you and help you choose the right protocol (intermittent fasting, time-restricted eating, or longer fasts). Your plan may include preparation strategies to optimize your fasting experience, nutritional support to maintain health during fasting periods, guidance on what to eat during eating windows, monitoring for any adverse effects, and safe re-feeding protocols.

Fasting should enhance your health, not compromise it. I take a cautious, individualized approach and don't recommend fasting if it's not suitable for your current health status.

Book a consultation and let's discuss whether fasting is right for you and how to do it safely.

  • Anxiety can be debilitating, but naturopathy offers effective, natural support to help calm your nervous system and address the underlying causes of anxious feelings.

Anxiety often stems from multiple factors including nervous system dysregulation, nutrient deficiencies (like magnesium or B vitamins), blood sugar imbalances, gut-brain axis dysfunction, hormonal fluctuations, or chronic stress. I work to identify and address your unique triggers.

    How I can support you:

Your personalized treatment plan may include nervine herbs to calm and support your nervous system, nutritional support to address deficiencies affecting mood and stress response, blood sugar balancing strategies to reduce anxiety spikes, gut health optimization (your gut produces much of your serotonin), and nervous system regulation techniques including breathwork and lifestyle modifications.

Many clients notice reduced anxiety symptoms within 2-6 weeks as we support your body's natural stress response. The goal is sustainable, lasting relief rather than just masking symptoms.

You don't have to live with constant anxiety. Book a consultation and let's work together to help you feel calmer and more grounded.

  • Chronic stress affects every system in your body, but naturopathy can help you build resilience, regulate your nervous system, and support your body through demanding times.

Constant stress depletes your nutrients, disrupts your hormones, affects your sleep, weakens your immune system, and impacts your digestion. Rather than just managing stress, I focus on supporting your body's stress response systems and building your capacity to handle life's demands.

    How I can support you:

Your treatment plan may include adaptogenic herbs to support your adrenal glands and stress response, nutritional support to replenish stress-depleted nutrients like B vitamins, magnesium, and vitamin C, nervous system regulation techniques and lifestyle strategies, sleep optimization to support recovery, and dietary modifications to stabilize blood sugar and energy.

Most clients notice improved energy, better sleep, enhanced resilience, and a greater sense of calm within 4-8 weeks. The goal is to help you thrive, not just survive.

You deserve to feel balanced and energized. Book a consultation and let's create a plan to support your body and nervous system.

  • Yes, absolutely. While naturopathy doesn't replace trauma-specific therapy, it can provide valuable support for the physical and nervous system impacts of trauma and PTSD.

Trauma lives in the body, affecting your nervous system, stress hormones, sleep, digestion, and immune function. I work alongside your mental health team to provide gentle, body-centered support that complements your therapeutic work.

    How I can support you:

Your treatment plan may include nervine and adaptogenic herbs to support nervous system regulation, nutritional support for neurotransmitter production and stress resilience, gentle nervous system regulation practices that respect your window of tolerance, sleep support for trauma-related insomnia, and gut health optimization (trauma significantly impacts digestion).

I take a trauma-informed approach, moving at your pace and prioritizing safety and empowerment. Many clients notice improved sleep, reduced hypervigilance, better emotional regulation, and increased capacity for healing within their therapeutic process.

Healing is possible, and you deserve comprehensive support. Book a consultation when you feel ready, and we'll work together gently and respectfully.

  • Depression is complex and challenging, but naturopathy can provide valuable support alongside your mental health care team to address the physical factors contributing to low mood.

Depression often involves multiple factors including neurotransmitter imbalances, inflammation, nutrient deficiencies (especially B vitamins, vitamin D, omega-3s, and iron), gut health issues, hormonal imbalances, and chronic stress. I work to identify and address these underlying contributors.

    How I can support you:

Your personalized treatment plan may include herbal medicine to support mood and nervous system function, nutritional support to optimize neurotransmitter production, anti-inflammatory strategies (inflammation is strongly linked to depression), gut-brain axis support, and gentle lifestyle modifications to support mental wellbeing.

It's important to note that naturopathy works best as part of a comprehensive mental health approach. I work collaboratively with your GP, psychologist, or psychiatrist to ensure you receive well-rounded care. Many clients notice improved mood, better energy, and enhanced emotional resilience within 6-12 weeks.

You don't have to face depression alone. Book a consultation and let's work together to support your mental health from multiple angles.

  • Yes, I can help support you with ADHD management through naturopathic care that addresses the nutritional, lifestyle, and physiological factors affecting focus, impulse control, and executive function.

ADHD involves complex neurological factors, but many people find that addressing nutrient deficiencies (particularly iron, zinc, magnesium, and omega-3s), blood sugar imbalances, sleep issues, gut health, and inflammatory factors can significantly improve symptoms.

    How I can support you:

Your treatment plan may include targeted nutritional support for optimal brain function and neurotransmitter production, dietary strategies to stabilize blood sugar and energy, herbal medicine to support focus and calm, gut health optimization (emerging research links gut health to ADHD symptoms), and lifestyle modifications to support executive function.

I work alongside your medical team and support any medication you're taking. Many clients notice improved focus, better emotional regulation, enhanced sleep, and reduced hyperactivity within 8-12 weeks of consistent naturopathic support.

Whether you're newly diagnosed or seeking additional support, naturopathy can help. Book a consultation and let's create a personalized plan to support your brain health.

  • Sleep issues are one of the most common concerns I see in clinic, and naturopathy offers a comprehensive approach to restoring healthy sleep patterns naturally.

Rather than simply masking symptoms, I work to identify the root causes of your sleep disruption. This is exactly why I'm here. You don't need to have all the answers or know where to start - that's my job.

Here's what happens when you book:

In your first consultation, we'll take time to hear your full story without rushing. I'll help you make sense of your symptoms and identify priorities. Together, we'll create a clear, manageable treatment plan with realistic expectations. You'll leave with specific, actionable steps - not an overwhelming list of things to do.

I understand that when you're exhausted and overwhelmed, even small tasks feel enormous. I'll break everything down into manageable pieces and support you at a pace that feels doable. You don't have to figure this out alone anymore.

Many of my clients come to me feeling exactly how you're feeling right now, and within weeks, they start to feel hopeful again as their symptoms begin to shift and they gain clarity about what's happening in their body.

Take a deep breath. Book a consultation when you're ready, and we'll tackle this together, one step at a time.
